
2026 Bhit Mhiship Central Committee Sets to Work: Receive Royal Blessings

The Central Planning Committee of Bhit Mhiship 2026, on the 22nd January 2026, led by Dr. Tanko Dabit, paid a courtesy visit to it’s traditional ruler, Nda Sunday Dajep Dasha II, the Long Mhiship, to seek his royal blessings as the committee commenced planning for the 2026 event.
Dr. Tanko Dabit, who led the committee members, appreciated the traditional council and MCCDA for the opportunity to serve as the chairman of the committee for the epoch coming event.
He stated that the objective of the visit was to seek royal blessings and advice as the committee kick-start preparations for Bhit Mhiship 2026.
He further highlighted that Bhit Mhiship 2026 aimed to generate funds for the completion of the MCCDA Committee hall, which would serve as a JAMB centre that will benefit secondary schools in Pankshin South and it’s environs.
While responding, the traditional ruler, Nda Long Mhiship welcomed the committee members to his palace describing the visit as well thought-of and in the right direction.
The traditional ruler further pronounced his royal blessings on the committee members and encouraged them to work as a team.
He promised that the traditional council would support 2026 event and was available to provide advisory support.
Other personalities at the meeting included: Nda Obadiah Kuklong, Nda Bala Makah, Nda Jacob Bhitmang, Hon. Pefun Ndom, Comrade Ayuba Jepla, Mrs. Victoria Sokhotyep, Mrs. Fohotnan Makah, Ms Appolonia Rangdat, Mr. Sendi Dauda, Mr. Nandet Davil.
The committee members and the traditional council had a common understanding of the objectives of the forth coming event after a profitable dialogue.
Bhit Mhiship is a yearly cultural event amongst the Mhiship people of Pankshin South which showcases culture, tradition, interaction, innovation and crafts of the people and brings together people across the nation and beyond.
