The Mhiship Community and Cultural Development Association (MCCDA) has constituted a seven-member maiden Editorial Board made up of seasoned Mhiship sons and daughters to manage and grow its newly launched digital platform, mhishipcommunity.org. The inauguration took place this week, with members mandated to begin work immediately.
The board was constituted to oversee the creation, curation, and publication of content that promotes Mhiship culture, values, development news, and global engagement. Their task includes managing online content, ensuring relevance and accuracy, and positioning the Mhiship digital space as a competitive, community-driven news outlet on both national and international levels.
Those selected to serve on the editorial board have distinguished themselves in various media-related professions, ranging from journalism to digital administration. Their combined expertise is expected to uphold content quality, community representation, and innovation in storytelling.
Addressing the new board, MCCDA National President, Nda CC Martin Ayuba Dapel (Rtd) who also serves as the Editorial Board Chairman, expressed gratitude to the members for accepting the responsibility. He described their commitment as a “confirmation of their love for the Mhiship Nation” and urged them to uphold integrity, promote diversity, and build trust despite potential challenges.
The editorial team includes: Nda CC Martin Ayuba Dapel Rtd (Editor-in-Chief/ Chairman, Editorial Board), Mr. Lengnan Dapam (Editor) and Mr. Israel Nandi Bigun (News Editor).
Other board members are: Mr. Chris Miyaptong Data (Digital Content Editor), Miss Shinplang Dashe (Feature Editor), Mr. Sendi Dauda (Digital Backend Admin/Editor) and Engr. Moses Zungdet (Co-Digital Backend Administrator/ Editor).
The board will serve a renewable two-year term, during which they are expected to manage web content, highlight community stories, feature national and international news, and create a platform that fosters collaboration, engagement, and storytelling across the Mhiship diaspora.
