
Missing 13 Year Old Pirit Finally Found: Reunites with Family

Pirit Rejoice Danjuma, the 13 Year old girl that was reported missing has finally been reunited with her family in Plateau State.
Plateau State Commissioner of Women Affairs,Hon Caroline Dafur, made the announcement at a press briefing in her office after handing over Pirit to her family members from Pankshin.
According to Hon.Caroline, some good Samaritans in Ibadan,Oyo State found the missing Pirit and use the social media in an attempt to locate her parents and when the state government reach out to the Oyo State Police Command, they looked for the location and handed her over to the Plateau State laison office in Lagos where she was handed over to the commissioner.
Narrating the ordeal of the girl, the Women affairs commissioner said the parents of the girl gave her out to a woman, eight years ago at age 5 and the woman promised to sponsor her education.
The woman abandoned the girl and traveled abroad and so she could not locate her parents.
The Executive Chairman of Pankshin Local Government Council, Hon.Felix Amos Gonung received Pirit on behalf of the parents and commended the commissioner of Women Affairs, Hon. Caroline for her tireless effort in ensuring the safety and protection of children by hauling child trafficking.
Hon. Gonung handed over Pirit to her foster parent assuring them that he would sponsor the education of Pirit and ensures she gets the best treatment like any other child.
It would be recalled that the picture of Pirit was seen flying all over the social media few weeks ago in an attempt to find her parents after the girl was found in Ibadan, Oyo State rumming around the street, until she came across some good Nigerians.
Pirit hail from Chip district of Pankshin local government area of plateau state with both parents still alive and living in Ibadan but do not know the location of their daughter.
According to records available, her mother’s name is Faith Danjuma and her siblings names are: Munang, Dungrit and Bobo, native of Chip in Pankshin local Government area of Plateau State.
Meanwhile, the Executive Chairman of Pankshin Local Government Council, Hon.Felix Amos Gonung has promised to enlist one of the family member of Pirit as his special assistant to ease the financial burden of taking care of the girl.
