
Rev. & Mrs. Chrysanthus Bala Exits Active Pastoral Work: Retires with COCIN amidst Great Testimonies

It was a moment of celebration, reflection and goodwill on Sunday, 12th October, 2025 at the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) RCC Headquarters, Giring, Jos, Plateau State where clergymen, church members, family and well wishers across Nigeria gathered to bid farewell from active pastoral service to Rev. & Mrs. Chrysanthus Bala John.
Rev. & Mrs. Chrysanthus have impacted meaningful in the lives of people and have contributed immersely to the growth and expansion of God’s work with COCIN, a testament to the calibre of illustrious personalities that graced the retirement service showering praise and commendation for the positive things they have learn while he and his family were in active service as a servant of God.
Born on the 20th of November, 1960, Rev. Chrysanthus Bala John started his early pastoral work in 1998 and was ordained along side his wife, Mrs. Mary in 1997.
During the course of his work in the ministry, he served in several places which included LCC Minna, RCC Bauchi, RCC Abuja, RCC Pankshin, RCC Kwang and the most recent, RCC Giring where he retired.
Rev. Chrysanthus has served as Chairman, RCC Abuja and Chairman, PCC Zaria among other several positions in his active years with the church.
At the retirement service, many notable COCIN clergies, politicians and members described Rev. Chrysanthus as a loving and compassionate man of God who dedicated his life to serve God and the people he pastored at different stations he had worked.
The church leadership and members wished him well as he retires and prayed God to reward his sacrifices and grant him long life and prosperity.
