HELD ON SATURDAY, 29TH MARCH 2025.

PROTOCOLS

Your Excellencies, Traditional Leaders, Distinguished Senators, Honourable Members of the National and State Assemblies, Esteemed Guests, Ladies and Gentlemen,

INTRODUCTION

I am deeply honoured to stand before you today as we celebrate our rich cultural heritage and unveil a transformational initiative—the launch of the Mhiship Community Skills Development and Empowerment Center, as part of our N500 Million Fundraising Campaign.

APPRECIATION

  1. I would like to sincerely appreciate our Executive Governor, Barr. Caleb Manaseh Mutfwang, the Honourable Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe, our distinguished Senators and Honourable Members of the State and National Assemblies, and most especially our Royal Fathers and Elders of the Mhiship Nation, for honouring us with your presence and support.

BHIT MHISHIP – A CELEBRATION OF HERITAGE

  1. Today, we gather not only to fundraise but to celebrate our cultural identity through the annual BHIT MHISHIP. This celebration stands as a testament to our strength, resilience, and unity. Our culture is a vibrant tapestry woven from history, values, and tradition.
  2. In showcasing our cuisine, arts, and heritage, we also promote tourism development and community pride.

SKILL CENTER – A MILESTONE OF HOPE

  1. This event marks the launch of a ₦500 Million campaign to fully establish a state-of-the-art Skills Acquisition and Empowerment Center. It will serve not only the Mhiship youth but the entire Pankshin South Constituency, headquartered in Chip.
  2. We have already constructed a multipurpose hall worth ₦78,560,000, which will serve as the base for equipment, training, and operational activities.
  3. Our aim goes beyond training. We envision a system where graduates from this center are equipped with starter packs, enabling them to immediately practice and sustain themselves.

VISION AND ALIGNMENT WITH GOVERNMENT POLICY

  1. This project aligns with the ‘Government of Now’ initiative, a transformative policy designed to empower communities at the grassroots level.
  2. The center will be a dynamic hub offering skills development, entrepreneurship training, and innovation across various sectors.
  3. In collaboration with the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), the following skill areas will be covered:
    • Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
    • Welding and Fabrication
    • Hairdressing & Salon Services
    • Video Production and Visualization
    • Carpentry and Interior Decoration
    • Electrical Installation
    • Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
    • Automobile Mechanics and Electricals
    • Block Laying and Masonry

COMMUNITY OWNERSHIP & IMPACT

  1. Each village in the Mhiship Chiefdom has contributed to this project to foster community ownership and inclusiveness.
  2. By investing in our people, we are building a future filled with hope, resilience, and economic empowerment.

GOVERNMENT PROJECTS & GRATITUDE

  1. I also wish to extend our heartfelt appreciation to our Governor for the infrastructure development within our region, notably the upgrade and reconstruction of the Dunggwan–Jibam–Quanpan road, including a second bridge in Jibam.
  2. We are also thankful for the ongoing ultra-modern rice milling plant in Yangshong, being executed under the NDE through the constituency project of Senator Diket Plang.

CALL TO ACTION

  1. I encourage all guests and dignitaries to support this initiative and help us bring this vision to life. Let us together shape a prosperous and empowered future for the Mhiship Nation and beyond.

CONCLUSION

  1. Once again, welcome to BHIT MHISHIP 2025. Relax and enjoy our celebration of culture, unity, and progress.

Thank you, and may God bless you all.
