MEET ENGR. MBOHOK OBED ELISHA; A MHISHIP SON RECENTLY INDUCTED AS A FELLOW MEMBER OF THE CHARTERED INSTITUTE OF CONTRACT PROJECT AND FACILITY MANAGEMENT.

Engr. Mbohok Obed Elisha is an expert, professional, seasoned, and astute engineer by training, with decades of work experience in both the private and public sectors, and a wealth of expertise in building and construction across Nigeria. This expertise likely contributed to his recent induction as a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Contract Project and Facility Management in Lagos, Nigeria.

A native of Mhiship Chiefdom in Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau State, Nigeria, Engr. Mbohok Obed Elisha comes from a humble background and has risen to National prominence through hard work, commitment, dedication, focus, and determination, a clear motivation to young people in society.

Engr. Mbohok Obed Elisha graduated from the prestigious University of Jos, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Building. He also earned a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Landscape Technology from the Federal College of Forestry, Jos, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Civil Engineering (PGDCE) from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi. Additionally, he holds several postgraduate degrees, including a Master’s Degree in Technology (MTECH) in Facility Management from the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna, and a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering (MENGR) from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna, among other academic and professional certificates.

Engr. Mbohok Obed Elisha was recruited into the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) in 2006 and has grown through the ranks to the position of Assistant Controller of Immigration (ACI), currently serving as the Second-in-Command (2IC) of the Facility and Maintenance Unit at NIS Headquarters, Abuja. Apart from his recent induction into the Chartered Institute of Contract Project and Facility Management, Engr. Mbohok Obed Elisha is a member of several other professional bodies, including the Nigeria Institute of Building (MNIOB), Nigeria Society of Engineers (MNSE), Nigeria Institute of Water Engineers (MNIWE), and Nigeria Institute of Civil Engineers (MNICE), among others.

As a seasoned career civil servant, Engr. Mbohok Obed Elisha has a wealth of experience in supervising and executing numerous projects and contracts. Some of his notable projects include supervising road and sewage treatment plants in Abuja, constructing modern farm facilities at Abuja, building a church and Jumaat Mosque at NIS Headquarters Abuja, developing an Indoor Shooting Range and Armoury at the Immigration Training School (ITSK) Kano, and constructing a school and Mammy Market for the Immigration Officers’ Wives Association (IMMOWA). Engr. Mbohok Obed Elisha’s areas of expertise include design and construction of biodigesters for biogas production, facility management, project management, consultancy, and engineering.

He is married with two children.
