The National body of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has given an award to a distinguished son of Mhiship Land, Comrade Shamdung Ayuba Jepla for what the association described as a recognition of his unsurpassing performance in leadership style in the various offices he had occupied each time he was given responsibilities.

In a statement from Comrade Gyang Moses, the Director of Programmes, NANS which was made available to Mhishipcommunity digital content says the award was part of the ratification of the 72nd Senate Seating of NANS and honoured by its congress at a convention held on the 25th of March, 2025 in Abuja to beam its search light to identify diligent administrators, men of integrity, students’ emancipators and philanthropists; a cap that fits Comrade Shamdung Ayuba Jepla; the statement reads.

While delivering the certificate of award, NANS Director of programme described Comrade Jepla as a man of genuine integrity whose contributions to educational development, administrative prowess and magnanimous benevolence to all categories of people devoid of tribe, race, social statute, region and religious was worthy of emulation by all and sundry.

The statement further recognized the self less service of Comrade Jepla as an astute leader and a patriot which the national body described as a man who: “is not in love with money but in love with justice; a comrade who is not in love with publicity but in love with humanity”, adding that personalities like Comrade Jepla were rear to find hence Nigeria should engage such qualities to help build the country on the tract of good leadership.

NANS national body congratulated Comrade Jepla for receiving the award and said it had open its door for partnership with Comrade Jepla to help the association achieve some of its mandate and projects like offsetting the cost of logistics, donation to enable the procurement of office equipment for skill acquisition establishment among others.
