
MCCDA Leads Delegation to Condole with Sen. Diket Plang.

The National President of Mhiship Community and Cultural Development Association (MCCDA), CC Martin Ayuba Dapel (rtd.) led a delegation of Mhiship Community in Abuja to pay a condolence visit to Distinguished Senator Diket Plang over the demise of his wife, Prof. Janet Diket Plang.
In the entourage was Nda. Bala Makah, the Kawap of Mhiship land; Miskaham of Gwagwalada, Nda John Shanwa; Mr. Dayi Damulak, Chairman, MCCDA Abuja branch, Chief Jacob Kumbet, Elder Victoria Sohotyep, Pastor Nanpan Edward and a host of other sons and daughters of Mhiship land.
The President expressed the community’s deepest condolences over the great loss of his dear wife, which he described as a loss not just to the family but to the country at large.
The President acknowledged the late professor’s academic prowess and how she has impacted positively in the society during her lifetime.
A letter of tribute was presented by MCCDA to the Senator as evidence of the Mhiship Community identifying with him in his moment of bereaved.
Responding on behalf of the family, Senator Diket Plang thanked the Mhiship Community for sharing in his moment of sadness with words of comfort and prayers to support his family in their moments of difficulties. He described his late wife as a pillar and a woman of virtue.
The senator further reiterated that the Mhiship people are unique amongst other tribes in Pankshin Local Government Area and added that the association should keep the spirit of oneness and sincerity of purpose.
