
MHISHIP 3.0 REBOOT: UNITY SUMMIT, GLOBAL VILLAGE FUNDRAISING & AWARD CEREMONY ENDS IN SUCCESS

The Mhiship Community Youth Development (MCYD), Jos Branch hosted the entire plateau State and Nigeria in it’s Mhiship Reboot: 3.0 on the 13th of June 2026 to interact and share ideas on issues marking a defining moment for unity, cultural pride, and leadership in Plateau State.
With the theme: Rebuilding Unity, Celebrating Culture and Excellence, Shaping Conversations for an Empowered Future; the event brought a convergence of youths and stakeholders across diverse ethnic groups and professionals within and outside Plateau State.
The event convened an esteemed gathering of dignitaries, traditional rulers, government representatives, captains of industry, civil society leaders, and youth stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and professions. Their presence underscored the collective commitment to rebuilding unity across communities.
The Unity Summit featured insightful deliberations on peacebuilding, inclusive governance, and youth empowerment. Resource persons engaged in solution-driven dialogue aimed at shaping policies and perspectives for an empowered future.
Notable keynote panelists were hosted during the event including erudite sons of Mhiship land which included Prof. James Damen Garba,mni; Nda Dennis Dateer, Chief Makmis Dakyen, represented by Mr. Dauda Sendi and Dr. Maklu Nanter Yonla amongst others to brainstorm on the youths and sustainable progress and development in Plateau State and Nigeria at large.
The event also featured a Global Village Fundraising Session where a vibrant celebration of Plateau’s rich cultural heritage was showcased; through indigenous cuisine, traditional attire, music, and dance. Participants also displayed the vision for the proposed Global Village while raising vital funds to bring the project to life. The exhibition reflected the beauty of diversity and harmonized under one identity: ‘Jos’.
There was Award Ceremony which served as the pinnacle of the event, where individuals and institutions who distinguished themselves in excellent service delivery, and community impact were duly honored. Each awardee represented the values MHISHIP stood for: ‘integrity, dedication, and selfless service’.
The MHISHIP 3.0 Reboot was more than a programme. It was a recommitment to the ideals of unity, a celebration of cultural wealth, and a bold step toward building a future envision for Plateau and Nigeria, starting with the local community to drive it at a global scale.
