MCCDA, Jos South Branch pays condolence visit to the family of the late Nga Dangyang, Dagwom Rwei of Jos South Local Government Area.
The Mhiship Community and Cultural Development Association (MCCDA), Jos South Branch, has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Nga Dangyang, Dagwom Rwei of Jos South Local Government Area, describing his passing as a great loss to Plateau State and the nation.
Leading the delegation to the monarch’s residence in Gyel, the Chairman of the Association, Comrade Ayuba Shamdung Jepla, in his remark said the late traditional ruler was a symbol of peace, unity, and selfless service whose leadership positively impacted many communities during his 67-year reign. Shamdung noted that the Mhiship Community enjoyed a cordial relationship with the late monarch over the years, adding that his commitment to peaceful coexistence and community development would continue to inspire future generations.
Also speaking, the Miskaham Mhiship of Jos South, Nda Yusuf Dabis, described the late Nga Dangyang as a fatherly figure whose wisdom, generosity, and accommodating nature created an atmosphere where people of different ethnic backgrounds lived together in peace. He said the monarch’s legacy of inclusiveness and development would remain indelible.
Responding on behalf of the family, Prince Dangyang expressed appreciation to the Mhiship Community for standing with the family during their moment of grief. He said the visit was a demonstration of the cordial relationship the late monarch maintained with various communities throughout his lifetime.The condolence visit concluded with prayers for the peaceful repose of the late monarch, strength and comfort for the bereaved family, and enduring peace and unity in the country.
