
MCCDA Appoints Chief Koppe as ICT Consultant
The Executive Council of the Mhiship Community and Cultural Development Association, MCCDA have appointed one of its illustrious sons, Chief Koppe sylvanus Joseph as consultant of MCCDA Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre located in Chip, Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau State.
In a letter dated 3rd June, 2026 and made available to Mhiship Digital News Content and signed by MCCDA National President, CC Martin Dapel, stated that the Association appreciated Chief Koppe for voluntarily accepting to serve the community in such a capacity being an expert in communication and technology despite his political engagements.
Chief Koppe, an Information and Technology expert and CEO of A+ Computer Training Technology, Jos, Plateau State is expected among other mandates to help MCCDA; setup, equip, train, develop curriculum and partner with them to ensure the Chip ICT centre kick starts on a good footing.
The statement further highlighted that the consultation would include liaising with Plateau State ICT Agency and other related NGOs to attract partnership and support and at the same time mentor youths in digital literacy and ICT related matters with the hope that the centre becomes a sustainable venture.
The Chip ICT centre is an innovation of the current leadership of MCCDA National Executives to established an ICT hub that would engaged the youths of its communities and Plateau State at large with the plans to make the centre a JAMB recognised Examination Centre to reduce the stress youths and students go through to access examination centres and to use the ICT hub as a learning ground for exposure to digital information and modern technology.
Meanwhile, Chief Koppe has written a letter of acceptance to MCCDA describing his appointment as a noble opportunity to give back to his community promising to remain committed to supporting the vision of making the ICT Centre a valuable resource for the people of Mhiship Chiefdom. Koppe also noted; “I am honoured by the confidence reposed in me and hereby accept the appointment. I look forward to providing technical advice and support towards the development of the ICT Centre”.
Chief Koppe who doubles as a politician brings over a decade of experience in ICT, curriculum development, computer training, youth development among other expertise.
He is also a philanthropist, a father and a husband whom many have described as a humble and a good tutor who knows his craft.
